Not to be missed, the Heal’s Discover: Modern Craft Market based at Heals Tottenham Court Road, is a two-week event which will showcase the work of some of the UK’s brightest contemporary craft talent. From 3rd-16th February there will be events, demonstrations and workshops held offering customers the opportunity to meet the makers and learn more about their crafts. Don’t miss Crafts Magazine Editor Grant Gibson hosting a panel discussion on Wednesday 12 February with industry experts Michelle Alger, Head of Home at Heals, Patricia van den Akker, Director of the Design Trust, and ceramist Billy Lloyd.
Discover is set to house the work of some of the most exciting home-grown talent at work in modern craft today. The market will be made up of pieces created by selected independent designers and a collective of RCA graduates (the WORKS collective), as well as a carefully chosen group of makers and artisans recognised by Crafts Council and Contemporary Applied Arts, meaning you can invest in potential heirlooms by the big names of the future.
